Vernie Dean  Vanliew
Vernie Dean Fruen Vanliew, 72, of Shirley, passed away November 21, 2016. She was born in Texas on February 4, 1944 to Joe and Eula May Hudspeth Fruen. Vernie worked for many years as a CNA at Indian Rock Village. Vernie was of the Holiness faith and enjoyed watching TV and spending time with her family.
Left to cherish Vernie's memory are her husband, Douglas Odell Vanliew of Shirley; son Dane Vanliew and wife Vivian of Shirley and daughter Auderia Cooper and husband Ricky, Jr. of Shirley. Vernie is also survived by her siblings Jean, Paula, Louann, Betty and Billy; one future grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Vernie was preceded in death by her father Joe Fruen, mother Eula May Hudspeth Fruen; and siblings Francis, Robert and Roy.
Graveside services will be Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Lute Mountain Cemetery with Pastor James Hutto officiating.
