Obituary for Odis Reed

Odis Paul Reed, 94, of Clinton, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at his home. He was born in Dabney, Arkansas to Ed and Rose Pearl Miller Reed on March 27, 1923. He served for 20 years as an active member of the United States Navy and 10 years in the Reserves. Odis was a member of the Choctaw Church of Christ, who enjoyed playing dominoes and pinochle. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by father William Edward Reed, mother Rose Pearl Miller Reed, infant son "Little Paul", son, Odis Paul, Jr., and daughter Janis Reed. He was also preceded in death by his brothers Herman Reed, Orvil Reed and Jay Reed; and one sister Eunice McEntire Schmucker.
Left to cherish Odis's memory, are his wife, Pat Reed; daughters Virginia Crowley, Paula Reed, Rose Eldridge and husband Rob, Judy Emerson and husband Marvin, Jessica Housley and husband Bruce, Samantha Reed and Amber Reed. Odis was also survived by his brothers John R. Reed and William Reed; stepchildren MaxAnne Isom and husband Buddy, Kathy Lawitz and husband Jim, Nancy Kirby and husband Tim, and Johnny Trujillo and wife Kim. Odis was further survived by a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-great grandchild as well as a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, July 15 at 1:00 p.m. at Lost Corners/New Hope Cemetery with Military Honors.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, July 15 at 5:00 p.m. at Choctaw Church of Christ with Brother Matthew Burleson officiating.
