Glenda Ruth Criss Tilley, 61, of Greers Ferry, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 30, 2017 at her home. Born December 30, 1955 in Elaine, Arkansas to the late Hoyt and Laura Floyd Criss, Glenda worked at the Senior Citizens Center as a case manager for 25 years where she made many lifelong friends.
Glenda enjoyed her sewing and craft work. She was a devoted grandmother and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Greers Ferry where she taught Sunday School and worked wherever needed in the church. She was a faithful women and always looked out for others even during the time of her sickness.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband , Thomas Tilley, whom she married on April 25, 1980; daughter Gwen and husband Randal Needham of Greers Ferry; son Brandon Tilley of Cabot; five brothers, Hoyt E. and wife Carrie Criss of Baytown, TX., Jeff and wife Patsy Criss of Lowell, AR., Randy and wife Diane Criss of Byhalia, MS., Dennis and wife Cathy Criss of Wynne, AR., Kelly and wife Janice Criss of Ochelata, OK.; two sisters Sandra Mitchell of Wynne, AR., and Donna DeVasier of Forrest City, AR.; seven grandchildren, Sidney, Mylah, Draiven, Samuel, Andrew, Braden, and Isaac.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Thomas Tilley Jr., and one sister, Margaret Jones.
Visitation will be Thursday November 2, 2017 at 10 am at the Clinton Funeral Service Chapel in Clinton with services following at 11 am with Brother Greg Carr officiating. Burial will follow at Farris Cemetery near Onia, Arkansas.
