Obituary for Jimmy Thurman

Jimmy Carl Thurman, 82, of Quitman, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Born August 14, 1935 to the late J.C. (Collie) and Bonnie Hackney Thurman, Jimmy served in the United States Army and later retired as a mill clerk. He was a member of Gardner Baptist Church in Hamburg, Arkansas. Jimmy enjoyed hunting, fishing and he always had a smile on his face.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Ricky and wife Tina Thurman of Quitman, AR, Lynette Thurman of Crossett, AR, Carla Thurman of Pine Bluff, AR, Karen Clampit-Worthen of Pine Bluff, AR and Greg Clampit of Pine Bluff, AR; siblings,, Doby Thurman of Bastrop, LA, Charles (Bitty)Thurman of Lacey, AR, Keith Thurman of Lacey, AR, May Carter of Crossett, AR, and Faye Wilhite of Lacey, AR; 13 grandchildren , 14 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; one son, MarkThurman; one grandchild, Jimmy Lee Raley; brothers, Adrian, Laron (Wink), and Marshall Thurman.
Services will be held Friday, November 10, 2017, 1pm at the Lacey Cemetery in Lacey, Arkansas with Brother Darriel Ezell officiating .
