Mary Lou  Hanks
Mary Lou Hanks, 84, of Scotland, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2017. Born January 12, 1933 in Oklahoma to the late Johnnie Thomas and Nancy Esther Blue Jones. Mary was a retired Library Aid, a graduate of Scotland High School, a member of the Scotland Baptist Church and attended the First Baptist Church in Clinton. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting and knitting.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Nancy and husband Roy Smith of Clarkston, WA, Charlene Buchanan of Scotland, AR; siblings, Joe Wayne Jones of Scotland, AR; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, church family, friends and other family members.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; one child, Addie Louise Sterling; siblings, Olen J. Jones, Wanda Sue Meeks and Addie Rue Sowell.
Services will be Saturday, November 11, 2017, 10am at the Scotland Baptist Church in Scotland, Arkansas with Pastor David Jones and Pastor Faron Rogers officiating .
