Donald (Donnie) Gene Morris, 67 of Clinton, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018. Born May 31, 1950 in Clinton, Arkansas to Omba Lyon and Edith Evelyln Ennes Morris. Donnie attended all twelve years of schooling at Leslie, graduating in 1968. Donnie enjoyed racing, car shows, visiting with friends. Donnie was known for his gift of gab. Donnie grew up in the Trace Ridge area, moving to Clinton in 1973. He and his family started Morris Homes in 1987, where he was the owner and president of the company
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Donald Omba Morris (Lesa) of Clinton, Julie Marie Morris of Scotland, Jimmy Gene and wife Caitlin Morris of Choctaw; grandchildren, Evelyn Faye, Cyleigh Kay, Maci Mae, Babe William, Kevin Reed, Rebecca Marie, Brittany Nichol, Lance Tyler; great grandchildren, Koleson Mark, Kynleigh Nichol; Donnie is also survived by the mother of his children, Brenda Morris; Also,several nieces, nephews, friends and other family members.
Donnie is preceded in death by one son, Adam Lee Morris; siblings, Betty Gene Morris, Willie T. Morris, Charles L. Morris, Jimmy Franklin Morris; two grandsons; two nephews, Ricky and Larry Morris.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 14, 2018, from 6pm to 8pm at the Clinton Funeral Service Chapel, and on May 15, 2018 from 10am until service time. Services will be Tuesday, May 15, 2018, 11am, at the Trace Ridge Bible Church with Bro. Allen Brock officiating. Burial will follow at Trace ridge Cemetery.
Pall Bearers are: Donald Morris, Lance Morris, Jimmy Morris, Bobby Ezell, Travis Boudrey, Randall Tumbleson. Honorary Pall bearers will be Chad Simnacher, Jackie Hinchey, and Jack Boudrey.
