Shirley Cecil Parker, 78, of Heber Springs passed away Wednesday October 31, 2018. Born October 27, 1940 to the late Elbert Weaver and Lucille Chapman, Shirley was a retired 911 operator for the Cahoma County MS Sheriffs Department. Shirley attended West Pangburn Community Church, and enjoyed cooking, working in her yard, and fishing when her health allowed.
Shirley is survived by her children Angela Lea Parker of Heber Springs, Frank and wife Yvonne Sanford of Baton Rouge, LA; grandchildren Jeffery Sanford and wife Katie, Danielle Lang and husband Dustin, Taylor Parker and Jacob Parker; six great-grandchildren.
Shirley is preceded in death by her father, Elbert Weaver, her dad, Howard Jennings, mother Lucille Chapman; husband, Bennie Parker, and son Dean Parker.
Visitation will be Monday November 5, 2018 at the West Pangburn Community Church at 10 am followed by services at 11 am. Services officiated by Brother Steve Jones and members of the Pine Snag-Lobo Fire Department serving as pall bearers.
Burial will be at Sunset Cemetery in West Helena at a later date.
