Joey became a very good freind of mine while we both served at UCA. Almost each Thrusday when I finished my teaching duties at UCA and walked over to the UCAPD to change into my PD uniform he would be standing by or leaning against a small brick wall just outside of the PD taking a quick smoke. It was during this time that we would share many stories and adventures. During one of these visits Joey offered to make me a wooden flute, and he did, and I will treasure it until the Lord calls me home. By the way, he did try to teach me to play the flute, but due to me having no musical talent, I jut gave up on "the playing" and just admired it and "tooted" a semi-joyful noise. Later on I gave Joey an elk antler I found in Colorado durng his time at UCA; plus, I gave him a bigger elk antler after I learned of his marriage. Joey's flute is located in my study at home and I am going to take another elk antler and use it as a stand to house Joey's flute to always remind me of our freindship and our brotherhood as law enforcement officers. Strength and honor
